The Hay-Art Fest is a major peasant festival held in autumn in the Lammer valley in the Tennengau.

The world largest procession of hay figures has inspired the visitors for eleven years. The festival takes place on the 26th of August 2012 in Abtenau.
The inhabitants of the Lammer valley show their creativity and craft in the hay figure procession. Real works of art arise from many barns in the Lammer valley. The motivation of the hay artists is great-welding, timbering, binding and wrapping takes all night long.
Always original, smart, functional, the figures are live-sized. On the 26th of August at 11 o'clock the great final is held where the hay figures procession takes place. Around 30 works of art are displayed in beautifully adorned carriages, drawn by superb horses or in tractors accompanied by people in national costumes on the sound of whips heard all around Abtenau.
